Katie Flanagan

A Cape Cod native, Dr. Flanagan is thrilled to practice veterinary medicine in the community she has always called home.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and later completed a master’s degree while working as a veterinary technician. She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University, followed by an intensive rotating internship in emergency and specialty medicine at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists.

Dr. Flanagan’s professional interests include emergency medicine, soft-tissue surgery, preventive medicine, and spectrum of care. She is especially passionate about client education and partnering with pet owners to develop individualized treatment plans that meet the needs of both the patient and their family. She believes veterinary care should be a collaborative process and strives to ensure every client feels informed, supported, and confident when making decisions about their pet’s care.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Flanagan enjoys everything the Cape has to offer. You’ll often find her at the beach, boating, riding the trails with her horse, Daisy, or hiking with her dog, Zena.
