Diagnostic Imaging for Pets
What does this mean for you and your pet?
The best care starts with early detection. The most compassionate diagnostic tools are the ones that are noninvasive and pain-free. That’s why we’ve invested in one of the most advanced digital imaging systems in the New England region.
Our imaging tools, from ultrasounds to echocardiograms, help us see what’s going on inside your pet’s body without causing stress or discomfort. Most scans can be done while your pet is standing, without shaving or sedation. That means quicker answers, earlier treatment, and less worry for both of you. Since we can do various diagnostics in-house, you won’t have to worry about referrals to a local specialist. You and your pet will receive answers faster, which will allow your pet to get healthier sooner.

What types of diagnostic imaging services are provided for my pet?
GlobalFAST Scan
A fast, whole-body ultrasound scan that checks 17 key areas from the heart and lungs to the bladder and colon. This quick, noninvasive tool helps us detect hidden problems early, even before lab work shows signs of illness. Results are reviewed by board-certified internal medicine specialists.
We use GlobalFAST Scan in emergencies and critical cases, which allows us to provide a faster, less invasive, and real-time diagnosis.
Ultrasound
This detailed scan looks closely at each abdominal organ and is often used in sick or emergency cases. It provides more insight than X-rays and helps us pinpoint the cause of illness quickly. Reports are reviewed by internal medicine experts with tailored treatment recommendations.
Echocardiogram (Cardiac Ultrasound)
This test evaluates the heart’s structure and function and is interpreted by board-certified cardiologists. It’s essential for diagnosing heart disease and creating an accurate, advanced treatment plan in collaboration with your primary veterinarian.
Most imaging procedures do not require sedation, though it may be recommended in some cases. Routine results are typically available within 2–5 days, and urgent consults can be prioritized for faster turnaround.
