Internal Medicine
What does this mean for you and your pet?
A change in your pet’s overall health can be scary and leave you with more questions than answers. That’s where our internal medicine expertise comes in. We work closely with you to uncover what’s happening beneath the surface and help your pet feel better together. Our Internal Medicine services allow us to dig deeper. These tools and techniques help us investigate hard-to-detect illnesses involving the heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, gastrointestinal system, and more.
Whether your pet has a sudden illness or a long-term condition, our forward-thinking approach combines trusted medical knowledge with today’s most advanced diagnostic technology. This allows us to get to the root of what’s happening and create a personalized plan to help your pet feel better faster.
We use internal medicine not just to treat illness but also to prevent it. Early detection and thorough evaluation are key to preserving your pet’s quality of life.

What types of internal medicine services are provided for my pet?
Endoscopy
A small, flexible camera examines areas like the stomach, esophagus, or colon. This allows us to identify inflammation, remove foreign objects, or take biopsy samples without surgery.
Ultrasonography
This noninvasive imaging uses sound waves to look inside your pet’s body, especially soft tissue organs like the liver, kidneys, and bladder. It helps detect abnormalities that may not appear on X-rays or lab tests.
Bone Marrow Aspirates
This procedure allows us to examine the cells inside your pet’s bone marrow to help diagnose blood disorders, cancers, or unexplained illness. It’s performed with great care and only when necessary.
Digital Radiography
Modern X-rays produce high-quality images in seconds. They are used to evaluate bones, lungs, and internal organs. They are faster, safer, and more detailed than traditional film X-rays.
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
A noninvasive test that measures the electrical activity of your pet’s heart. It helps diagnose arrhythmias and supports the evaluation of heart disease.
Blood Pressure Monitoring
Just like in humans, blood pressure is a vital sign of your pet’s internal health. We use accurate, pet-friendly equipment to detect high or low blood pressure that may signal an underlying disease.
