Melaine joined Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod in 2015.
She especially enjoys working with our clients on International Travel Certificates.
She has two pets, Piper her dog, and “Maybe Molly” her cat. When she is not at the office you can find her spending time outside gardening, going to the beach, taking a road trip, and exploring all that New England has to offer.

Taylor first joined our team at Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod in January of 2021.
Taylor joined our team with six years of experience in veterinary medicine. Taylor is a native of Rockport, Massachusetts but moved to the South Shore in 2020.
Taylor has a strong interest in marketing and social media. Taylor loves working at the front desk and being able to greet our patients and their owners. If you’re interested in having your pet featured on our Facebook, ask Taylor the next time you’re in!
When not at work, Taylor enjoys going back home to the North Shore to visit her dog Steinway. When not traveling, Taylor enjoys going to the beach, the gym or snuggling up with a good book. She feels obligated to mention her cat, Hashtag, but he is not an ideal patient here at the hospital, so she also wants to thank our doctors and technicians for being so great with him!
Shirley

Shirley has been a staple of the front desk staff for 56 years!
Shirley grew up on Cape Cod and joined Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod in 1966, after graduating Barnstable High School she started working here and hasn’t left. Her favorite part about this job has been making lifelong relationships with clients.
When Shirley isn’t here, she can be found in her garden, and taking care of her 40-year-old blue and gold McCaw “Max.”

Karen started working at Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod in 1989!
Before joining our team here, she graduated from a laboratory technician program in Bennington Vermont.
Karen has lived on Cape Cod for over 40 years. She and her husband still live locally. When she is not at work, she can be found spending time with her grandchildren and breeding Cairn Terriers.

Liz started working at Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod March of 2022.
She graduated from Framingham State with a BA.
Her family includes her two dogs named Penelope, Dillon, and her horse Spruce. She has ridden horses since a young age of 6, with western riding being her focus. She grew up around all kinds of animals and grew fond of them. When she is not here, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Meet Lizzy! She joined our team in May of 2021, bringing with her a Veterinary Assistant Certificate from Upper Cape Tech.
Her lifelong passion for animals and dedication to advocating for them shine through in her work.
Lizzy finds great joy in building strong connections with our clients and witnessing their beloved four-legged companions grow and thrive. At home, Lizzy shares her life with her husband. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find her hitting the gym, enjoying quality time with her loved ones, and unwinding on her days off.

Jen joined the Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod team in April of 2023.
While she does not have any veterinary industry training, she has extensive customer service experience.
She has a BFA in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. She has been a professional photographer, with her own business on Cape Cod since 1994. Some of her favorite subjects for her photos are families with pets, and any type of dog!
When she is not at work you can find her hiking, with “Penny” and Charlie, skiing, or traveling with her best friend, or getting lost in a good book! Her family includes her boyfriend, Charlie, “Penny” the dog, and “Rory” the cat.

Bailey joined our veterinary clinic team as a Customer Service Representative in July of 2023, bringing with her a wealth of enthusiasm and dedication. Graduating from Barnstable High in 2020, Bailey is currently weighing options between pursuing classes at Four Cs or enrolling in veterinary technician school. Her home life is a lively mix, featuring five sisters, her mother, her two Akitas, three Maltese, and Bailey’s cherished Pomsky, Diesel, who is three years old. With a profound love for animals, Bailey has always been a vocal advocate for those without a voice. Aspiring to make a significant impact in the field of veterinary technology, she is committed to the well-being of our furry friends. In addition to her passion for animal welfare, Bailey brings nearly a decade of experience as a competitive cheerleader, now entering her third year as a coach. When not at work or coaching, Bailey enjoys spending quality time with Diesel or relaxing on the beach. Her professional journey is characterized by a deep love for animals, a commitment to their welfare, and a drive for continuous growth within the veterinary field.

Meet our Client Service Representative, Amy, who joined the VACC team in December of 2023.
Growing up in Yarmouth Port, she developed a passion for music, playing drums in the Dennis Yarmouth band. Amy’s strong background in customer service began with experience in some of the finest restaurants on the Cape.
After moving to New Hampshire for 30 years, she raised a family and successfully owned and operated a 350-seat restaurant in the lake’s region. Her diverse skill set also includes experience in emergency room and outpatient registration in Wolfeboro, NH.
In her free time, you’ll find Amy playing steel drums at the beach, kayaking, gardening, and traveling with family. Her vibrant personality and commitment to excellent service make her an invaluable part of our team.
